What do you do if your patent is infringed?

If you discover an issued patent which are too close to your own then an opposition can be filed with the Patent and Trademark Office provided that the following conditions are met:

The patent has to have been published in the Danish Patent Gazette less than 9 months earlier and furthermore you have to state further reasons for the opposition filed. The counter party then has 6 months to file his remarks. The appeals board after the Patent and Trademark Office is the Appeal Board for Patents and Trademarks to which there is an application deadline on 2 months.
