How do I register a domain name?

In Denmark a domain name is registered under .dk domain while the registration of domain names abroad takes place under the relevant country codes, i.e. .se for Sweden, .co.uk for United Kingdom and .de for Germany.

In addition hereto there are the so-called "generic" domains which are not attached to any specific country.  To a company the most interesting of these domains are .com which stands for "commercial" or .biz which stands for "business". Other interesting generic domains are .net (especially relevant for IT companies) and .org (especially relevant for organizations).

Registration of domain names takes place through one of the many suppliers of domain name registrations in Denmark and abroad. Often it would be expedient to collect all domain name registrations with one supplier.
